Why do I need a Temporary Driver's License?
Who is responsible if the vehicle gets damaged?
As in any country, a renter is responsible to bring the vehicle back in the same condition as it was rented or additional charges will apply. Please adere to the Terms & Conditions of your rental policy for specfic details.
NOTICE:
We require a damage deposit to be paid at the time of rental:
- $200 US for Compact Cars
- $300 US for SUV's
- $400 US for Trucks
This will be refunded once the vehicle is returned in good condition.
RENTAL AGREEMENT
By renting a vehicle from Comfort Car Rentals, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined below. This agreement constitutes a legally binding contract between you (the renter) and Comfort Car Rentals Antigua.
ELIGIBILITY
- The renter must be at least 25 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license and must be driving for a minimum of 2 years.
- The renter must provide a valid credit card for payment and security deposit purposes.
- A Temporary License must be issued for drivers that don't have an Antiguan License. The Cost is $20 USD and this will be provided at the office.
VEHICLE USAGE
The rented vehicle shall not be used:
- For any illegal activities or purposes
- To transport goods or passengers for hire
- In any race, contest, or speed test
The vehicle shall not be driven by anyone other than the renter unless prior authorization is obtained from Comfort Car Rentals Antigua.
RENTAL PERIOD
The rental period begins and ends as specified in the rental agreement.
Any extension of the rental period must be requested and approved in advance.
PAYMENT
The renter agrees to pay all rental charges, including applicable taxes and fees, as outlined in the rental agreement.
Additional charges may apply for late returns, fuel refills, and damages.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit will be held on the renter’s credit card during the rental period.
The security deposit may be used to cover any damages, fines, or fees incurred during the rental period.
INSURANCE
The rental vehicle is covered by basic insurance as per local regulations.
Collison Damage Waiver (CDW) provides limited liability that caps the amount you’re responsible for in the event of a major collision.
FUEL
The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of gas received, or refueling charges will apply.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS
The renter is responsible for informing Comfort Car Rentals Antigua of any mechanical issues or damages to the vehicle during the rental period.
Repairs or maintenance must be authorized by Comfort Car Rentals Antigua. Receipts for authorized repairs must be provided for reimbursement.
DAMAGE AND LOSS
The renter is liable for any damage or loss to the vehicle during the rental period.
The renter’s liability is limited to the deductible amount stated in the rental agreement, unless additional insurance is purchased.
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
Cancellation policies and associated fees are outlined in the rental agreement.
No-shows or cancellations made after the rental period starts are subject to full charges.
GOVERNING LAW
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of Antigua and Barbuda. Any disputes shall be resolved in the jurisdiction where Comfort Car Rentals Antigua is located.
